Thursday: 1-1. -1.3
Overall: 103-87. +16.8

Had this one circled for a few weeks

5 Units

Harvard +3.5 -110

Great situation for Harvard right here. They catch Santa Clara flying cross country after playings 2 games back to back Monday and Tuesday. Harvard got on of their best players back last game, and are a talented team. I still think Santa Clara is garbage. Will get more into it later, with some more reasoning.

Will most likely add another unit or 2 after seeing where the line goes, but was happy to see +3.5, and locked it in there.

also, i probably won't play it, but So Florida is a good play against Syracuse. The Orange, historically are awful in Tampa. Last year, coming off a huge win and rolling along, they needed an important win against the hapless Bulls, and got blasted from start to finish. Line was about the same, and the situation was similar. Something about play there Syracuse just can't seem to get by.

I would definitely take a long hard look at So Florida and you aren't going to find a bigger Syracuse fan than me

^Personally I think the linemakers adjusted for that already....line really should be more like 13 I'd say based on this season's performances so far...def could be a tricky spot for Cuse and with Rautins having been killing it maybe he'll have an off night and Cuse will struggle...personally I wouldn't back the Bulls at this low a number, but I haven't exactly been capping a ton of CBB so far.

it wasn't just bryant. he can get his. they just can't let everyone else go off like utep did. utep played awful defense, and had some of the worst shot selection i have ever seen. you won't see the same stupidness from the smart Harvard kids

i really don't think this santa clara team is good. other than bryant they have average at best talent. amaker has some really good freshman to go along with the chinese kid. the situation alone is too good to pass up

Sounds like an East - West debate to me. Clara is averaging 65 per game, so you can toss out the UTEP argument as far as I'm concerned. Homecourt for Harvard is not that strong particularly. So what we have left is an average team at best laying points on the road to another average team at home getting back arguably their best player. What motivation would a team already with 7 losses have here against a non-conference foe. I don't see it myself. Give me the dog! Good luck guys!

trust me i have done it, you just don't fly from coast to coast hop out the plane, lace them up, and play like you are in your own gym. the jet lag sets in, and you have heavy legs. also, your mind isn't there if your body isn't . harvard is a solid team, especially at home, and are getting one of their most talented players back. this is a situation too good to pass up, and not hammer

Forgot to add: I definitely agree with the Harvard play for what it's worth.

haravrd hasnt played anyone as good as Santa Clara yet.

I concur here, homedog! I'm unclear how you can be so high on the Ivy Leaguers in this matchup

In looking at some of the ratings and schedules, Santa Clara should be the favorite in this one. According to Pomeroy, the highest rated team Harvard has beaten was Holy Cross (rated #245) in November.

I've got Santa Clara rated at #114. Harvard hasn't come close to a playing a team rated that high. Not only that, but Santa Clara has 2 wins against teams in the top 100 and took Arizona down to the final seconds in Arizona.

I respect your 'capping, but I'll have to differ here. I'll gladly take the generous pts. as I have the visitor by 6 on my sheet.
