ok....the ip addy on the pc connected to the net is 10.0.0.1 and the addy for the second pc is 10.0.0.2

when i typed in the ip addy in run...it said something about a reply

Do you get a (4) reply from 10.0.0.1:bytes=32******

Is your Proxy Running on the bottom right corner, next to the clock.

I'm sorry, I didn't see this reply. Yes, both PC's are seeing each other. You can transfer files, but that's a different thing.

Where it says Proxy Binding, type 10.0.0.1...

Sorry, you placed 10.0.0.1 where it said disabled, is this correct.

a box popped up that said....no connection to the internet is currently available. To view internet content that has been saved on your computer click work offline

after i exited out of that everything went blank including connecting to site

also.....I unchecked work offline, but everytime i reopen file, it is checked again

Lets try again. Internet Exploer - Tools - Internet Options - Connections - Lan Settings - Proxy Server - "Do you have 10.0.0.1 Port 6588

on the second pc it has that...only its 10.0.0.2.......on pc 1 theres nothing in the box for ip addy and port
