250 wp #5 Ookster this filly won opening day here for us in impressive fashion, its her 3rd carrer start, there is plenty of speed in this race and it could set up nicely for her behind the speed, last years top jock is up, she has a big shot today ML 8-1!!! I see her going off at 4-1 or better!!

Race # 9

1st - # 5 Ookster I 2nd - # 1 Dandy Dora I 3rd - # 4 What R The Odds

COMMENTARY : I’m going to take a shot on the # 5 OOKSTER who was very impressive in breaking her maiden and has since come back to work (1:00.60) very well. She has the benefit of a race in her and if she’s going to beat multiple stakes winners Dandy Dora, What R The Odds and P S Good N Ready this is the time. She’s loses Perez (no surprise) but picks up Gutierrez so no loss there and with the threat of a very lively pace I think she can sit in mid pack and rally for the win. The # 1 DANDY DORA was the top two year old filly in Alberta last year and looking at her morning trials she has handled the switch to her new surroundings quite well; she has the rail so I expect Pedro to be stubborn and not give up the lead and we’ll see how good she really is; I think she’ll do very well. The # 4 WHAT R THE ODDS is the reigning two year filly champ who has also worked very nicely and must be respected on her home turf. I’m a little concerned with the pace scenario (tough dash for the first race in almost 9 months) which is why I have her in the third spot but it obviously be no shock if this gritty filly fought on for the victory.

thank u harley for the support our local capper does like her, he has watched her alot in the morning works, she a big strong fiesty filly we are hoping big things out of her, but this is horse racing and you never know? definate class test her these are most likely best 3yr old filly in western canada!!!!

yes thanks harley!!! it was her 3rd career start and she just got nosed for 2nd the favourite sat off the pace, we were hoping that the favourite couldnt rate our filly still ran big, the winner was 2yr old champ here last year, and the 2nd place finisher was 2yr old champ in alberta, so cannot be upset with finish, the way she galloped out tells us she will like the extra distance so i will keep u posted we are aiming her for a restricted stakes race in june goin 1mile 1/16th
