Not to get off the topic here but another thing that cost me when I started out playing was I played too long. When I started keeping more detailed records I found after about 6 hours my play suffered severely. I played in a lot of private games so would play and play instead of getting up and leaving when I should have. I wouldn't even realize I was tired but no doubt my play would suffer......

SP - I think I play the hand very similar to that. Hard to say exactly what you would do without knowing the specific scenario you are involved in. No way am I limping in with that hand in early position. VERY seldom would I call a raise with it either unless maybe to repop it to hopefully get heads up with an A-10 or something like that. You get a feel for some of the guys you play with and when it gets close to the button some of them get too aggressive in their blind stealing.

I'll limp in from late position and hope this is one of those 7 flops (or whatever) where you flop a set.

I would take the 55 if I thought I could raise or re-raise to get heads up.

I'd invest my money up front and force out weaker hands early for smaller bets. If that doesn't work fold after the flop cuz your fvcked anyway. Low pp are only worth playing if there's 6 or more (bets) in the pot or only 1 player plus maybe a blind.(IMO)

But to keep it short...I'd take the 55 cap it and pray for a low flop.
