We all know the Hokies are a great team, both offensively and defensively. We know they can score points in a hurry, as noted by their first two games. They are averaging around 45 points in their first two games, and their opponent tonight is barely getting 20 points per game vs. some horrible teams. I know the Hokies first two opponent's were cupcakes, but aren't the Aggies pretty soft as well? They can't score to save their life, their defense is suspect vs. the run, and Franchione has a long way to go to get this program in the national spotlight. So why then are the Hokies only 14 point favorites at home? Some help please!!

One word - Dennis Franchione! I personally don't like the guy as he reminds me of a two-faced mercenary looking for $$$. BUT, that guy is a winner! Believe me, he will have TXAM ready to play. Also, the Big 12 does play good ball. Tread lightly my man.

Isabel will probably be hitting the coast either tonight or early tomorrow. I would say a soaked field, or a rained out game. Not 100% sure, though.

Ntexas u are off by 1 day. Isabel will hit DC/MD/Northern VA Tomorrow night and Friday morning. V tech is farther inland but there will be some wind and Rain. I live 3 hours from V Tech.

Thanks for the correction ODK. Do you think the game will be affected much?

It all depends on when it comes or where it hits... Could miss most of it and be fine... If Its hit during game time it will be a game to remember... But either way the outer shell of the storm will still bring rain and wind... in a worst case scenario, No one will be able to pass and both teams will run killing the clock... I think it will be hard to to cover 14.5 b/c of all the running... But weather also causes turnovers so u never know... This isn't going to be your average rainy day...

yeah, it's suppose to hit tomorrow but we don't know the exact path of the storm. definitely will be rain. will A&M be able to run? and can the D hold up against tech? Don't know much about either, just the weather...

With VTech's running game, they should have a big advantage in high winds and rain. Personally, I wouldn't touch it. I think I can still watch a college football game for pleasure, even if I don't have a bet on it.

NTEXES---Glad to see you're still here and breathing.

trap? I think most people will see a ranked texas a&m team JUST having to lost by 2 tds to cover and they will be all over a&m.

Dan----I have been hiding out from the prescription, since my foot is still inserted in my mouth for talking noise. Great game by Arkansas, terrible game for the Texas D.

With rain and high winds (30-35 mph), is anybody else on the U 47 as I am? I don't see much passing in this game.

Gonna pass the game. Weather will be a factor which will affect both teams. Better games on the board where you don't have to be concerned with the impending storm.

I wouldn't say you were talking too much. That's just part of backing up your team. Arkansas played better than I've ever seen them play, and Texas probably had one of their worst games. If they were to play again Saturday, the table would probably be turned.
Good luck to you this year.

Guys,

As some of you know, I live here in Southern Va, right near the OUTERBANKS of North Carolina...

I will probably lose electricity shortly as some neighboring cities are already without power..

Va Tech is located far away in Blackburgh so I think some of you are OVERRATING the weather effects out there...

Please don't consider this a major weather factor in Blacksburgh because it should't be...
