Guilherme Carbagiale Fuck, a forward on the Medicine Hat College Rattlers men’s basketball team, has an unusual name and is proud of it.
Fuck is 6′ 6″ tall and is a force to be reckoned with on the hardwood this season. 26 games into the season, Fuck has averaged a double-
double at 18 points and 10 rebounds per game. While the Brazilian basketball star’s name may stand out on paper, it’s pronounced “Foo-key”
and is of German origin. “It doesn’t mean what people think it means,” said Fuck. “In German it means fox.
Figuring Fuck’s last name might offend some people, Medicine Hat College initially asked him to use his middle name, Carbagiale, as his last
name to prevent any confusion. Fuck said “I would rather use my last name as my last name. I am not ashamed of it. Back in Brazil that’s
what I use, I don’t use my middle name.” Fuck takes pride in his last name saying he is looking forward to having kids in life so he can carry
the Fuck name on. Good for him. If you’re born with a name like Fuck you might as well own it
