Entries for the Las Vegas Hilton SuperContest football handicapping tournament will be taken beginning at 8 a.m. Monday. The tournament has a $1,500 entry fee and requires handicappers pick five NFL games a week against the spread. It drew a record 346 entries last year with $207,600 going to the champion.
Contestants have until 1 p.m. on Sept. 10 to register and get their picks in for the first week of the NFL season. Those who sign up before 5 p.m. on Aug. 29 are eligible for a $10,000 mini-contest over the final three weeks of the season.

Which sportsbooks offer NFL contests?
Also, if you know how much the entry fees are.

Proxy volunteer is whjen you enter the contest under you own name but do not live in the city year round, you simply play someone to enter your plays on your behalf.

A fee is involved.

I want to get in this thing but I don't live anywhere near Vegas. A proxy sounds like it could be a little dicey to me.

Anyone who needs a proxy or wants to discuss the details email me at info@sgpn.net

Vaulted, it is a matter of trust I assure you, but since my entry finished 2nd last year, I can safely safe, your picks will be in weekly if you use me. I am already proxy for 8 other people.

FWIW - Vegasguy is a long time (albeit infrequent) poster here at the Rx. and other forums. I have never heard any negative talk directed towards him. Maybe he will visit with Rx. people at the Bash. I have to believe he would be a good proxy.

Iwannawin...or to whom it may concern...

I'm planning to have my annual rundown of Las Vegas-based football contests in the Saturday, Aug. 14, issue of Daily Racing Form (available online that Thursday night at http://www.drf.com/news/content/10.html), just in time for the RX Bash. It will specifically detail which contests allow proxies for out-of-staters and which are playable by people who come to town a couple of weekends during the season.

As I've mentioned in other threads, I'll be at the RX Bash that entire weekend and am offering my services as a proxy...$200 upfront plus 10% of earnings is my usual price. I'll even throw in a ride from the Nugget to the Hilton (and back) on those days. I send out the official contest lines by Tuesday night and require your picks to be back to me by noon Thursday so I can get all picks in by Thursday afternoon and then send out confirmation e-mails by Thursday night so no one has to worry about possibly missing 1 p.m. Friday deadline.

Anyone interested can write me at tuleythetout@hotmail.com or talk to me at the Bash.

Since a story of mine started this thread, I think I should have first dibs with RX posters

carib runs more or less just like the hilton. once the entries are closed for the week, they are available for all to see. no way to cheat, not even for the guys running the contest.
