Hillary Clinton has 'medical episode' at 9/11 ceremony

NEW YORK (FOX5NY) - Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton left the 9/11 memorial events unexpectedly after what was being described by witnesses as some sort of medical problem.


Rick Leventhal from Fox News reported that a witness saw her stumble off a curb and her knees buckled.

The witness says she was helped into a van and was taken from the event.


Leventhal reported that she was "clearly having some type of medical episode".


Both Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton were at the observances for the 15th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.



Neither candidate was expected to make public remarks. Both had agreed to refrain from campaigning today.

Despite the concerning footage, she emerged from the home at 11:45 on Sunday saying she was fine. She told waiting reporters: 'I'm feeling great, it's a beautiful day in New York'. A smiling Clinton was then greeted by a young girl on the street to pose for a picture. She then waved at customers at a nearby restaurant before getting into a van. Nick Merrill, her travelling press secretary, said Clinton 'overheated' during the ceremony, but had quickly recovered. But the video seems to show her symptoms are far worse than her aides have suggested.
