According to Rivals, Scout, 247Sports and ESPN recruiting services, Robert Nkemdiche is the consensus No. 1 high school football prospect. The 6-5, 285 pound defensive end is only the fourth player in the last eleven years to be the consensus top prospect to go along with Jadeveon Clowney (SC), Vince Young (TX), Ernie Sims (FSU). Young and Sims were both NFL first round draft choices. Clowney is projected as a sure bet first rounder and many think barring injury, Nkemdiche could join the three in a few years.
Nkemdiche has had his pick of schools but has narrowed his choices to Ole Miss and LSU. Most think Ole Miss has the edge because his brother plays there. The guy is a stud and will be a starter his freshman year.
National signing day for all high school prospects is Wednesday.
