Kaya,, yes I am,,,, as a matter of fact,,, I went back this summer,,, and went over 9 years of info,,and I pulled some GREAT statistical data that will help us Screen and Use the FADE system even better,,,
Heres the thing Kaya,,,, we should Walk with a Minimum of 25 Units at the end of the season,,, and most likely 35-40 Units,,,, My plan is to try and use the Formula in a Mechanical fashion,, finding the best line,,,, and then trying to Handicap the Games on top of it,,,, the cool part about it,,,is that I already have Nov, DEC and Jan Games on a big calender in my Office,,,, so I already know what my plays are gonna be,,, this is Great cause early in the Eve,,,we can Hit tomorrows lines Early like at OLY,,,, and some of the better books,,,they will post lines the day before,,, so we might be able to catch some Great lines,,,,,
anyway,,,, One of the things I found was that you Just cant go and FADE any team,,there are a few parameters that well have to use to Screen,,,

Are you saying you have a database with 9 years worth of vegas lines and game results?...
If so, I'd be interested in obtaining it as I am building my NBA database and going backwards, but it is an arduous task, and if you happen to have several years already done that I haven't gotten too yet, that would save me TONS and TONS of work...
Let me know what you got, because maybe we can do a trade (I have a NCAAF Div. I database going back to 1980, and a decent NFL one that I am tweaking -- goes back to 1992)...

Steve,,, In the first 2 months of NBA<,, I had a run of somehting like 40-8 on totals,,,,(I dont know exact number)
then Zapster and I combined our formulas,,,and kept close to a 70% win rate through most the whole season combineing our BEST Plays,,,, till the last month of the season,,,
I hope that Run will continue this year,,,
I Never Posted sides,,this will be my first year OFFICIALLY posting Sides,,, I worked my azzzzzzzzzz off analyzing data this summer,,, LEAFFAN will attest to that,,,, we emailed a few times as I was trying to extract info from the data I found,,,

I extracted all information LONGHAND<,,,, (Yes Im a FREAK) I dont use any Programs to tabulate my plays,,,,, so I cant send you any specific Files,,,
COVERS I used Mostly,,,, then I cross refrenced with STATFOX,,,, then I rechecked with Databases from Varyying other sites,,,, (those mostly only had 1-2 years worht of data,,,, quite worthless actually,,,,

Check out Ace-Ace's thread on how Vegas sets up lines...basically they set lines for the entire season and refine them after each game....that's why you can beat them early but by the end of the season the lines are very sharp...
With your success on Totals last year why don't you just stick to Totals again this year??? Not a criticism....just wondering...looking forward to your picks.

Jon,,,, My hopes is to do just that,,, this NBA Sides Formula is straight up Mechanical,,,, as I mentioned the games are already predetermioned,,,, They are on a Posterboard in my ofice,,,, sooooo it takes me nooooo time to type up on the boards who the picks are,,,,
with Totals,,,, It takes me (by hand) 10 minutes per team,,,, by the 11th-13th I should have my totals formula set,,,,
