Buying Air Jordans......there tends to be some limited, intelligent and constructive discussions here on topics of race, socioeconomic status, etc., but unfortunately the majority on either side of any discussion ends being misinformed, illogical nonsense. I suppose one can't expect much from an anonymous forum where some portion of the posting population likely finds a voice, where in a real life setting they have none.
The donations went to the Silicon Valley Foundation and San Fransisco Community Foundation two organizations who are far from handing out Jordans and aren't even focused of the black community. They aren't handing out anything and those who typically receive assistance have earned it through hard work and dedication, regardless of race, color or creed. Isn't that what so many have been crying about in here, to better yourself, strive for something, work at it and try to escape the difficult environment you may be in. I agree much of the assistance pandered is unnecessary, undeserved and expected by sanctions of our population, regardless of color. This isn't one of those situations.
Who's to let the truth get into the way of predetermined agenda though?
