Yeah I might. For someone who plays a high volume of MTT's I'm just super-aware of the level of variance. I think of poker MTT's like betting units. It's so hard for me to put up like 25 units on one MTT when there is a 70%+ chance I won't cash no matter how well I play.
We've discussed this on here before. The games at lower buy in are SO much easier to beat consistently, not to mention the ability of my bankroll to absorb big variance swings.

If you really wanted to do it you could do something for the next one.
Tournament is $500 +$40 ($540)
You could sell (18) - shares for $30 each and figure this out. Keep 2 shares yourself with no investment and start with 20 shares total or something.
I would be in for a couple if you bought shares so I knew you had skin in the game.

Fair enough. I feel like there should always be a markup. I mean if the buy in is 540 and you and I each put up 270 and I play the entire 15 hour tournament and then cash big, we deserve to split 50/50?
I just always feel like the person who is doing the heavy lifting (i.e. playing) deserves a little bit bigger of a cut, which is all the markup is designed to do.
Now, should a proven player be able to demand a HIGHER markup? Absolutely.
