In canada you can press *67 before you make a call but this is not available at work phones.

Makes sense that some local working at a phone exchange would do this. I dont think cris would stoop to that. It also makes sense that you cant block it from an 800 number as they get a bill showing everyone who called. Anyway, the number you dial to block calls within the US is *67. They started calling me after I called only one spot down there which would never sell my number to anyone. IMO definately someone working for a phone company. He may be reading this right now. He is going to be in deep shit. Bye Bye pensione.

My number is blocked when I call inside the US. Not sure about Costa Rica.

Bigbet, your # is not blocked all the time. Depends on who you call. Telemarketers, collection agency's, score phone's, free pick phone and places that want your # have things set up where they " capture" your number when you call them. Doesn't matter what you have in place on your end. Their "END" is more sophisticated than you "end".

NEVER call a sportsbook. Use the live chat. At least that way you have a record of who you are talking to and what he/she said. I had a guy hang up on me and couldn't report him because he said his name garbled.

Scorephones are the real culprit at selling phone numbers to touts. Call a scorephone (while away from your conmputer) if you are sweating a game and you stand a good chance of being cold called.

Personally I am doubtful either CRIS or Carib would have anything to do with selling client phone numbers to sport services. There has to be some other explanation how JD got Blue's work number so soon after he used it to place bets..

So Blue uses a phone that he has never given out the #, or even used to call before. within an hour he gets a call from a tout. i can't believe the "leak" came from one of the two sportsbooks Blue called. not that quick. The "leak" has to be coming from the phone company or a bad clerk at one of the S.B.

I suggest that before any of you dial a offshore book that you dial *67 before dialing the number. This blocks out your number to anyone with caller ID!
