The guy has a bad back, is not even half of what he was back in april and may when he took over and dominated. He should have been DL'd for the series and McCarthy should have been put on the roster.

Well, Hermansen never showed that he could really close, even though that was a very short stint.

It was rough for AJ. They had him hit 5th behind bonds for a while and he didn't produce (most didn't...). They also wanted a more defense-oriented catcher. I believe Matheny's punch out % is much better than AJ's?
