Wow, talk about greedy...

701 Heads -115
702 Tails -115

(Get this same bet for -102 at Pnnacle or Intertops. I am not suggesting anyone takes this bet.)

i kinda always wondered this:

say a ton of money pours in on heads at pinnacle. do you think they'd make tails like...+105? wouldn't that be the best bet one could make, statistically speaking?

Interesting point Blue.

Seriously though, how degenerate does one have to be for them to wager on the coin toss??

That's a little pathetic if you think about it (unless it's a weird positive side like Itops hung last year- and you play value).

lander, depends on how you define degenerate. i've seen guys bet on whether the pizza guy will be late with the delivery or whether the traffic light will turn green before we get to it.

lander: anyone betting the coin flip for SERIOUS coin, I agree. Anyone betting fun money, it's just for fun. Anything over +100 on this line, I'd hit it if I KNEW FOR A FACT that the coin is not weighted in such a manner as to land on one or the other side more often, as commemorative coins have been known to do. Does anyone know if the NFL actually gave enough of a tinker's damn to be sure the over-sized coin they use is actually perfectly balanced? Considering the fact that the goddamn thing is huge in size, it won't get many revolutions before it hits the ground, which increases the probability that one side is more likely to show. Since I don't know, I wouldn't bet my nosehair on it. But if I knew it was perfectly balanced, I'd bet ANYTHING over +100 like a mofo.

I would seriously doubt it.

I don't think there is a lot of action on this type of bet--enough to warrant the book making a negative EV bet just for the purpose of risk management. I don't think this line will ever go to anything over +100
