Andrew Thomas Gallo, of Riverside, California, reportedly drove a red minivan under influence and hit the Mitshubishi Los Angeles Angels pitcher Nick Adenhart rode and eventually caused the latter’s death after speeding a red light at an intersection in Fullerton, southern Los Angeles, about 12:23 a.m. Thursday, April 9. Andrew Gallo who drove on a suspended license fled the scene but was arrested about 30 minutes later. He will face charges of manslaughter, felony driving under the influence and hit-and-run, according to CNN.
They are considering murder as a charge. But it is up to the DA to file the murder charge and will only do it if they think they can win the case with the murder charge. Sounds dumb because he killed 3 people but Manslaughter is easier to prove. I am sure he is facing atleast 30 years person for the manslaughter and 10 on DWI and another 10 on hit and run. Which who knows what that equals in Cali it could be probation. In that wacko state.

Some guys might shake their heads, but guys like Hall should also do jail time since a BAC of 0.149 severely reduces your reaction time and your car becomes kind of a deadly weapon...and if you take the risk of severely hurting or even killing others, punsihments should be way more than severe than they are nowadays...
he'll get 5-10 years. drinking laws in this country are a joke, a drunk killing someone is a life thing for me but never gets treated that way.

Do you ever think before you hit enter? Of course people are talking about this guy because he's an athlete. The same would be true if he was an actor or any other high profile job.
If Joe Smith from anywhere USA was killed then no, the media wouldn't print it. There's nobody that's saying he's more important than anyone else whose killed by a drunk driver.
If your hero Fidel Castro was killed in a car wreck don't you think it would be in the news media? If Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Torii Hunter, or any other pro athlete, politician, actor, etc. were killed it would be in the media.
It is this way because there a lot of people in America who care about Nick Adenhart. He's a role model for a lot of young kids and even adults. Joe Schmo isn't really that. It's not to say that Adenhart is more important than Joe, it's just that he had more influence over people, he was more known by the people. Nobody deserves to die this way but Adenhart's story will get printed because people know who he is.
