He lost . Its that simple. Chargers were the negative raod ascoring team as I wrote up for the Wild Card games.
When facing winners - they scored only 10 at Pitt, 10 at KC, 23 at Denver, 17 at KC.
Defense was also overrated. Gave up 26 a game to non-division winning teams and that includes home games. But as I have said for a while. They need a new QB. Herbert will not cut it.

Uh, oh
Better get going. Started 3-0. 3 straight losses to Giants(first rookie start) smashed by Washington and soft Miami is not a good look

Herbert is not the problem. His OL is decimated & has never been great his whole time there

Herbert with an insane play on that game winner breaks a sure sack to get the pass down field and them in red zone.. if he had the o line intact and maybe even one more weapon on offense he'd be a real problem but he certainly isn't the problem

If I had to select a QB for the next 5-7 years, age being a factor, Herbert would be in my top 5.

He’s outstanding.

He’s been surrounded by misfortune and it’s happening again with all the injuries.

Herbert looked great last night. Broadcasters argued if he was in the top 5 in the NFL right now. He has been in a lot of bad situations and fought hard and done well despite his surroundings.

I still say, drafting right now, considering age and injuries, I take Herbert in the top 5 if you look at the next 5-7 years.

Needs to stay healthy, which is always going to be a question in that organization it seems like

Seems to be making a couple more mistakes per game than he should

He is very talented though

I agree, Herbert is far from the chargers achilles. O-line holes and down to #4 rb. A guy whose name springs to mind when you think nfl stud rb's.... Kimani Vidal. Most important Harbaugh seems to love Herbert. So my guess they prioritize O-line depth, and more durable rb's, then defense. My guess, 1st 3 games more representative. Remember they beat KC and Den.

bol 2 all.
