Help!

I am going to Hazel Park raceway in Michigan tonight. I have never been to horse racing track before. As a rookie I will be sticking to WIN,PLACE, SHOW bets, but I have no idea on how to cap a race. I need help. Could anybody give me a quick tutorial on how to cap races for these types of bets or if one of you guys with some experience could give me some decent picks. thanks in advance.

as a quick study a lot of times its good if your not sure what your doing to take the best connections, if you purchase a program it will show a % by the driver of the horse and a % by the trainer, the higher that number the more often they come in. As for looking at the overall horse performance, check out how fast the times are that the horses are running and see how far behind that time they actually finished so for instance the line on any horse for a race says 2-3-3-3-5 and then in smaller print after the 5 it says 7, that means he started from the 2 position and finished 5th and was 7 horselengths behind the winning time

another huge part of harness racing or any racing for that matter is the horses class, it will show an amt that each horse was running for in each particular race, the higher they were in generally the tougher competition it was and more adjusted they will be to beating lesser.

Well guys had a bit of beginners luck. Won $225.00 and had ALOT of fun. caught 2 perfecta boxes and hit a simulcast horse. I think it was Lonestar, went off at 80-1 took it to WPS and it showed. I was talking to my buddy and got shut out of the third race, and was going to put in a winning perfecta box that would have paid another hundred. I am sure everyone that bets horses has a similar story. But I had a blast. I will definately go back, not today or tomorrow, but I will go back.
