I 100 percent see where you are coming from! This is what I need…Logic heads should prevail! It just seems like a gift tho…If it wasn’t Coach Bill I wouldn’t be so dang giddy about this play…I just don’t see in what Universe he losses to an equally bad Jets team at home?

I looked at that too..Saleh and general manager Joe Douglas will return for the Jets 2024 season. The Jets players aren’t in limbo …their coach is coming back

Wouldn’t the Pat players put in way more effort knowing their future isn’t a as concrete as a Jets player…heck the Jet players are probably planning their vacations….and the PAT players might just want to show Bill why he should stay.
Do you think the NE players today are impressed by the "legend"? They have played for him these last losing seasons and probably do not have the respect for him that the previous two decades of players have...
Jets are clearly on the rise, bad luck with the Aaron Rodgers injury, and will be contenders next year. Pats have a good D but not looking like a contender next yr, will trade up for a rookie QB and start all over.
Pats players are not going to risk their necks on every play for Belicheat for this meaningless game. I will stay away from this ugly game it will be decided by an ugly turnover or something. I do not do totals but it will be a low scoring mess.

I think you’re reading this one wrong. The players don’t look at him at “Belicheat”. Since he benched Mac Jones the Pats have been a different team. They haven’t given up yet and they won’t today.
The J-E-T-S are the JETS…. They are not up and coming (with or without Rogers). They have zero to play for today

I did not want to make the "Belicheat" term a thing, ha, but what I am saying is the last several years the team has been sub standard and that is what the current players see, a bitter man with terrible QBs to work with who is probably not much fun to play for... instead of the decades long winner. SO they are not emotionally involved in the game today, in fact, they may not show up knowing he is probably OUT after today.
TODAY is "Motivated or Not" day, everyone tries to think who will show up, and who will not. Last night the Steelers played every down like it was the Super Bowl, Ravens sat a lot of players that looked ok but I do not think they all went 100% every play. I think that if it was a playoff game and Ravens played every available player, they win 30-13 or so. It was ALL about motivation.

This is just wrong. Belichick has always gotten more out of less. This team is no different. They lost their only two playmakers (Judon and Gonzalez) back in Week 4. And yet this Defense his risen well above expectations. The offense sucks because the players suck, not because they are not trying to win. OT Trent Brown has been the exception. Belly benched him despite the fact that he is their most talented O lineman. He didn't play last week and he is again a healthy scratch this week. This team is playing to win each and every down. Belichick still commands complete respect in the locker room.
As for today, the Pats will not be laying down to improve positioning in this year's draft. But there remains the problem of the untalented offense and a wildcard today - the weather. I live about 40 miles north of Foxboro. It is snowing hard here as I type, and has been for hours and is expected to be for hours more. I expect that Foxboro is being blanketed by similar weather. Not sure.

As of January 5, 2024, the Patriots' run defense was allowing 3.2 yards per rush, which is the best in almost a decade. In January 2024, the Patriots' defense was ranked second-best, allowing 87.4 rushing yards per game....I wasnt impressed with a few coaches I had, but I played hard for my Teammates and myself because I hate losing! This is how these men make a living.....I don't slack off at my job especially if I'm making millions of dollars and I know everyone in the NFL is watching my job performance.
