I wanted to get some opinions on this dispute. I won't even say which side of the counter I'm on unless I give it away in my explanation.
It involves a player having a wager deleted due to a bad line.
The bet was on #6802 Istanbul Womens tennis match M. Koryttseva +1300 over V. Zvonerva.
the line opened +660 and closed +874 (according to sports options) I do know that the line was higher than this though at some point perhaps even when the bet was made.
the bet was made an hour before the match started at 8am pacific time. the book did not catch the "mistake" until 7pm quite sometime after the play was graded and obviously over. It was then deleted and the player was told it was no action due to a bad line.
Is this a bad line?
Even if this line is a bad does the player have case since he was not made aware that it was no action until after the event was over?
FYI:
The player does not have a reputation for betting bad lines. The book is an offscreen shop and they to have a good reputation and have not been know to pull anything shady in the past.
I'd appreciate some advice and or opinions from some of you guys.
thx
