I get that -120 is 1.2 times bet and so forth. I am curious what contributes to oddsmakers moving juice compared to moving lines. Take NO past night I got them at -3 -135. Would it get to a point that number goes up and juice drops? I just have never seen juice that high on a side that wasn't a ML. Also is there any value or correlation between high juice and taking that side as it might be off the real number?

Short answer - when they don't want to move off of a number, they keep kicking up the juice instead.

As for any correlation, I haven't seen any.......I remember seeing a road fav on Monday night couple years back that was -3 (+105) & the books wouldn't move it to -2.5.......well the road fav destroyed the hone dog. Who knows what the books are thinking.......

If I knew the ins & outs if the Bears last night, I would have made the Saints -5.5.......I didn't know the Bears were that bad.

Also Saints are playing for playoff hopes but I was convinced they could afford a loss.

Bad teams last 3 weeks if the season play very bad.
