Are you interested in playing any sports? If so look to join a adult sports team?

In my area there are leagues for flag football, soccer, basketball, and softball. It's a good way to get 1 solid day of exercise a week and its fun. You could join a few leagues and play a few days a week.

Some really good advice in the forum...it's motivating me to get back into it. I've been slacking the last few months. The lifestyle change is what matters. Focus on that, and you won't have to obsessively track your weight...it will take care of itself. I don't believe in height/weight charts...the right weight for you is when you can look in the mirror and feel comfortable with what you see.

The best advice here is to eat more often. It doesn't make sense at first, but six smaller meals per day keeps your metabolism at a somewhat constant rate instead of spiking it up and down with big meals every six hours or so. Try to go no more than three hours without eating something...and a "meal" can be considered fruit with a protein shake.

Also, never mind the low-fat crap, because it's carbs that make people fat. There was a book written called "Fat makes you thin" and it's true. Some people are scared shitless of fast food, but if you want to do a cheeseburger once a week, you'd be fine if you threw away the bread and just ate the meat and cheese. No fries or soda. It sucks at first, but if you let the lifestyle change take effect, you won't miss it after a while.

If everything else is consistent and maintained (ie, diet & exercise program), there is nothing wrong at all with splurging once a week on a "cheat meal." I know I'd go nuts without it. For example, most days I take in 1500-2000 calories, low carbs, 200-220 g of protein, and the once a week will splurge on maybe, a Wendy's super size meal, or a pizza and beer. Yet I'm still able to keep my 190 lbs on 6'1" and about 8% BF with an athletic build. Don't drive yourself nuts just be consistent.

It has been 23 hours since you first wrote this. Did you eat less and run? Or did you already change your mind about losing the weight?

Still going.. i go for a short jog in the evening.. I jog, walk, jog, run full speed, walk, jog walk....

After 2 days, I had to take today off. The area right above my knees is killin me. Hurts to go up and down steps.. I've been counting calories... according to one source, I need to eat Under 2100 calories to lose weight.. so I been doing that... I am more concentrating on just excercise until I get a compelete meal plan together, and need to buy groceries...

Buy an ounce of cocaine and use it liberally for a couple of weeks
You'll lose at least 20 lbs and then another 20 during the month you spend in a rehab facility.

Six weeks = Over 40 lbs

problem is you get so high you have to drink your way down so you end up consuming alot of calories....

Cutting out fast food, sodas and bread may alone be enough to help you lose a pound or two a week. 75 percent of your liquid consumption should be water....you can add lemon to make it taste better.

I'm going to mention some things that will help speed up your metabolism

1. Green Tea/White Tea/Black Tea
2. Garlic
3. Cayenne Pepper/Chili Peppers
4. Apple Cider Vinegar
5. Sea Kelp/Sea Weed
6. Hot Spicy Foods
7. Water
8. Lift Weights
9. High Fiber Diet
10. Eggs, Cottage Cheese, Yogurt will help a lot in making you feel full

Avoid anything white e.g sugar, rice, bread etc
