I am looking for a primary sportsbook for soccer. Currently use Pinnacle but not happy with their lines and their failure to post lines and/or totals for many matches. Looking for the usual: reliable, service, prompt pay outs, etc. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

PS I do most wagering online, so that is a necessity in book selection. Thanks again

gamebookers
canbet
centrebet
betandwin(only for live betting)
interwetten(high juice, mostly for some better prices off lines)
ladbrokes(only for some good under/overs for MORE than 2.5 goals)
goldbet(bad interface, good bet variety in a lot of leagues)
expekt(as a complement to gamebookers, together with fonbet)

pinnacle has the best juice in terms or handicaps and under overs, the ones they decide to lay that is, pointbet, bet365, and others are good in terms of handicaps and over unders, but pinnacle, is really, the pinnacle in that, great shop, no shill here, but i like their fairness.

Jack, thanks for the response. Pinnacle is tough, they dont miss a beat. Sometimes think they read this forum. Soon as you guys post something lines start moving.

Like today, I liked a couple matchups in the English League and they only had the chitty Carlisle/Shrew matchup on the board. Like some totals tomorrow that they will not post lies for. Just wanted to utilize another source to be able to make other plays I like.

So you would suggest Gamebrokers and Pinnacle as a good tandem???

One last thing, Jack I appreciate your insights and input when you post. Hope you dont back off from posting because of the infoPOOP screwup. Didnt notice you posting as much this past weekend and hoped it wasnt for that reason. I'm sure others feel the same way about your insights. Thanks

res,

yeap i d think gamebookers and pinnacle are one of the best tandems around, gamebookers for variety and versality of bets, pinnacle for better asian and under over prices (in the bets that they decide to lay
icon_wink.gif
). Canbet, like said, can be a good adition, as well as another ausie bookie centrebet for better 3 way lines.

As for the infopop screw up, yeah i was kinda taken aback, it's not a small thing when the forum we 've all put together gets reduced to a 3 page one outta of the 60+ pages that was once there, but i think i, and we all, will give it a go, to make it once more, like souza said, our soccer home, and keep posting our plays, insights, chit chats, and more serious capping discussions.

It's a shame though res and i sure hope the rx techies and the infopop nitwits have some sort of back up for the forum, that they can use to retreive some lost threads.

Jack,
You know I'm new to the soccer world and to the RX, but I have written 2 scathing emails to the infoPoop folks. One over this fiasco and one over repeated downtimes during the NCAA basket tourney. No excuse for that crap.

I could tell how distressed you were when the soccer forum was pillaged. I felt bad for you guys, heck you have 2800+ posts, criscol, duck and alex do as well. Pissed me off, can only imagine how you original architects had to feel.

Just want you to know how much I appreciate your help once again. If you have an email list of guys you chat with, please feel free to include me. (utagutag@aol.com)

Thanks and looking forward to see who you guys like tomorrow. Notice Pinnacle pulled the Isreal/Cyprus line down. Can only imagine what they will repost it at.

I have tandem accounts with
Pinnacle and CanBet, and i couldn't
be happier. Both outfits are highly
professional. And i can get a variety
of wagering options by having both.
Both books credit all transfer fees immediately to my account. And i love
girls with the australian accents on the
phone with CB.

Just wanted to thank JackDEEEEE, the Quackman and Souza for their help. I've sat back and watched how you guys help each other out in this forum. I knew you would steer me in the right direction in this matter. All input is appreciated.

Will be opening another account at gamebookers and probably canbet as well IFFFFF we have a good weekend. LMK if any last minute reservations about these choices.

Its neat see a bunch of guys from far and wide partcipating in this forum like you do. Cant say the same thing for any other forum at the Rx. See the ocassional oddball post, but nothing to the degree and frequency as I see in other forums. I hope you guys appreciate what you have here. I certainly do. Thanks again!!

Res,

I wonder if you are aware of the
difference in SPREADS between Gamaebookers,
and Pinnacle / CanBet.

Gamebookers has 20 and 30 cent lines for
most sports. I checked out the Formula One
wagering, and it was an outrageous 40CENTS!!!

I do like the number of wagering options Gamebookers provides, but in terms of Dollars and Cents, in my opinion, Pinnacle and CanBet are the way to go.

yeap gamebookers are are a killer juicewise, they only place they got above par juice is three ways in soccer, but pinnacle and canbet are much sharper in terms of which leagues they offer and as soon as word is out on a bet that they feel might hurt them if they leave it on they take it down asap. Therefore one should use all three of them in tandem. Gamebookers have also got other nice features like cross sports parleys and different day parleys, which pinnacle currently dont offer, in some leagues, for example the greek one pinnacle wont even offer same day in league two team parleys?!?!!!

Gamebookers got excellent customer support, always pay and do so promptly and their software is imo the best around, including bet history direct to excel, sms result notification to mobile phone etc.

So, by all means dont get suckered into betting a 30 cent line when you ll find 10% or better line elsewhere, but it's a good idea to have some money over there to take advantage of the other good features i mentioned.

You are right Jack.
CanBet is very conservative when posting lines.
For example, during 1/2 time in the NBA, Canbet takes their sweet time in posting the 2nd 1/2 line. They will wait 3 to 5 minutes
AFTER other books have posted their lines to put a number up, this is to protect themselves from any sudden line moves.

I would much rather bet with online books who put lines up quickly, so i can find the edge.

I like how Gamebookers puts up a wide variety of action from many sports......CHESS????

I decided on all three for the following: Like low juice at both canbet and pinnacle. Problem with pinnacle is they dont put alot of things I like on the board. Totals on yesterday's internationals, few english league matches, no totals on minor leagues as examples. Gamebookers will be my outlet for those and handicap/prop lines. Yhanks for all the help.

I think you made a good move Res.
I like the fact that Formula one lines
are already on the board.

Does anyone know who puts up lines
first of all the offshore books?

Pinnacle actually puts up lines for
English "Conference" games, this is preety
obscure. Not many books offer this wagering
option.
