HOWEVER
Robertson was around the plate ALL NIGHT. It's not his fault Wally Bell doesn't know what a strike looks like. You could see it. He was dejected that he couldn't get the close pitch called a strike. He had to throw cupcakes since painting the black wasn't working. It was horrible. I would have gotten tossed arguing balls and strikes. If you don't get the close call, you're going to find more of the plate and you're going to get hammered.
And Zumaya couldn't throw a strike to 3rd base to start a double play. 2 runs down is more manageable than 4. When it gets to 4, you lose all hope. And it showed. Cards win the next 2 to take the series 4-1.
