fiction:
just finished hard landing. was ok, got some insider info on airline industry in fiction format... b4 that read Ocean of Storms (started great, ended great, middle 200 pages were torture), Tick Tock (solid Koontz), Rage Against the Night (good collection of short horror stories), and just started a new one the other day (forgot what it is called...i rip through books pretty damn fast)
Koontz's Strangers is one of my fav fiction but anything from Crichton will get it done, too
non-fict grab Imperial Cruise by Bradley or any of the Erik Larson stuff (Devil in White City, Isaac's Storm, etc). Just finishing an autobiography of Edward Bernays. Most of Michael Lewis is great. Read the history of Salt earlier this year...pretty time consuming (500 pg about salt) but interesting as hell.
Confessions of an Economic Hitman is a great read...probably fits somewhere b/w fact and fiction.
this list will keep you busy...
