Anyone know of this?

Was at someone's house for a party. The guy had some kind of projection tv set up with the projector coming down from the ceiling. The picture was so good, I thought it was a flat screen tv on the wall. I didn't see the projector when I first looked.

Projectors are very underrated, as long as fairly dark and you have HD stations your watching it is fine, takes up no room either and works great right on wall without screen. It is of course darker than a real tv but very watchable and can have easy 90" viewing areas

The room wasn't even dark. That's why I didn't see the beam of light shooting across.

Think I might invest in one of those instead. Has to be a ton cheaper.

This is why I haven't gotten HDTV yet. Last year the NFL only put 1 random game on Sundays (not including Sunday night) on HDTV. This year I heard they put about half on. Any idea on how many will be in HDTV next year? Also I heard that shows in non HDTV shown on a HDTV don't look so hot. Is this true?

WorldRunner...Do you have the 70" Sony? If so how is it. THat's the one I am thinking about.

Not yet. Going to get it sometime in January. I've seen it in action though. It's awesome. When you have one of those in your living room you're making a statement IMO. :)

No doubt World but double check on the reviews. I have done a little research and have heard it has problems with glare and non highdef programs dont show that well. But other reviews say they don't have any problems.

Glare won't be an issue for me. Glare can ruin a TV. I don't mean literally ruin it...but if you have glare problems then it's not worth having a nice TV as you can't notice the nice picture.

I'm going to do some more research before purchasing...but I do believe this is what I'm settling on.
