pinnaclesports.com and 5dimes.com. You have to register to view the lines at 5dimes and you'll probably want to do the same at pinny also. 5dimes has it as
Taylor -1375 and Joppy+900. For some reason they dont have an over under on it yet. If youre thinking of playing Taylor and were going to get a good price - sorry to burst your bubble.

You gotta feeling on that? Titos the only guy to ever knock him out. He went the distance with Hopkins.

This is a pretty gay fight though. Im disappointed HBO even made this. Its an absolutely unintriguing matchup. If Taylor beats Joppy it really proves nothing.
The guy has lost 2 of his last 4 fights and only fights like once a year. No matter how bad he beats him it will look like he beat a guy who was good but never great and on his way out anyway.
Youre telling me Sturm wouldnt take this fight?

I'm not gonna bet this. Another orchestrated matchup for Taylor. I'd lean toward the over IF I was wagering. I just hope Morales beats Barrera. Screw these meatball fights.

Joppy has gotten the absolute crap kicked out of him the last couple times out by guys smaller than Taylor... I just don't foresee him having chance enough, no matter the odds, to justify betting any more than like $20 on him!

joppy has the body of a jr middleweight....maybe a welterweight.....and the head of a CRUISERWEIGHT....

that head is a planetoid....has it`s own solar system....

i think a full 1/3 of the man`s bodyweight is sitting on his shoulders...

like beetlejuice in reverse...

i heard he had to use a microwave oven cover as headgear in the amateurs...

This just reminds me a little of Bojado- Lejia..... Joppy is a former world champion, has proven himself against tough opposition, and lost to Tito and Hopkins... Should that make him a 10-1 underdog against a young fighter who people think has alot of promise, but hasnt proved it yet???? I dont think so... I will take Joppy small, just on principal.....

another $25 on Joppy to win by KO for +1500 @ Skybook.com That's 50 altogether plus the over/under at Pinny.

I also think William is a long shot... but Joppy is the best opponent to date for Jermain Taylor, and I hear Joppy is taking this fight VERY seriously. U never know.

at plus 1500 joppy is def a bet to consider and Taylor is NOT on the same level talent wise as Cotto ( is in my opinon the outstanding talent in boxing today)
What i have seen of taylor (which is not much) he is tall and has a good jab which let him dictat the fight, such fighters look always good against reluctant opponents who fight defensively and dont attack at close range and try to stay close. Wladimir Klitschko absolutly dominated his opponents with monster jab.
Joppy was in with good opposition and hang in there with Hopkins for 12 painful rounds and he has a win over Eastman who is a quality fighter.

Scenario Joppy is successful at pressuring Taylor and getting close and Taylor cant handle the situation and cant infight and feels lost when you take away his jab.

This is not a quality analysis because i have seen a half fight of Taylor and two of joppy, but thats the beauty of betting huge dogs you win big and lose little and all you need is not totaly absurd scenario.

Gil this is def. a better bet than betting guys like Rahman at - 800 against Cole,
although you probably will lose with Joppy but it a solid bet and the odds are to high.:103631605

Good luck

Joppy is in for some serious punishment here. I see Jermain really hurting Joppy in this bout. Joppy has not been respectful of Jermain and it may very well cost him in the ring. I think Jermain will be going for the KO. Up until this point, I do not believe that Jermain has ever been verbally challenged as he has in this fight by Joppy. So in a way, I believe that Jermain will fight as if he has something to prove. Who better to do this against than a fighter like Joppy, who at one point was considered a top fighter, yet has been handed some very bad beatings in recent years.

Joppy looks like an old man. He even looks terrible working out in the gym.

Any bets placed on Joppy to win by KO are deserving of +1500 odds. Anything less would probably not have even spiked interest in the line.

Although Jermain has yet to be seriously tested in his young career, he is a very tough fighter. I place Jermain and Miguel Cotto in the same class as far as will to win. You can see the determination in their eyes.

I foresee Joppy's corner stopping this one in the mid to late rounds.

If Joppy hasn't already gotten old overnight, his time may be at hand. Taylor is still raw talent somewhat, but Joppy is fighting to make a car payment pretty much. Jermain has been taken by the hand along a very cautious path, but so have many others. I say Taylor shines the same way Lacy did versus Vanderpool. The kid comes through this one easy.

LOL... i was shaking... actually shaking on the couch waiting for the decision, hoping they would give it to Rahman.

By the way... I don't think Rahman's win over Meehan shows how good he is.. I think it shows how BAD Lamon Brewster is.:drink:

This fight showed me everything that I need to know about Taylor. He is a very good boxer and has some great stuff. However, he doesnt have the killer instinct. He could have finished Joppy off plain and simple. But he didnt. That tells me that he's a little too soft and doesnt have the killer instinct that a great fighter needs to have. It also indicates that when it gets in a fire fight with someone who can dish it out he might be in trouble.

I really wish he would fight Sturm. There would be some money to be made with that fight.
Great job HBO, that was one hell of a quality fight. Too bad Cherifi got knocked out, now they dont know who to set him up next with.

did anybody take a good look at these two guys?......

i find it hard to believe that that were anywhere near the same weight.....

maybe it was joppy`s head.....his head must weigh 50 pounds....

i wonder about these weigh-ins...ever since the gatti/joey gamache fiasco,i have been skeptical of these weigh-ins when they have money involved in t.v. fights......

maybe they weighed the same....i doubt it...take a good look at those guys....taylpr was taller....and wider....no way he wasn`t the much bigger guy...it`s not like joppy has legs like tua.....

he`s a jr middleweight with the head of a cruiserweight.....a pumpkin head...

and he`s closing in on holifield territory as far as being a legit contender....and a num-num from taking to many beatings...
