I will be in attendance for tomorrow's game vs. Fresno. This is a small reason why my bet is gonna be bigger than normal. I have my main reason as to why Hawaii covers tomorrow. First are the intangibles. Gib Arnold is a master at motivating his players to perform better after a sub par game...and we all know that the Hawaii players played sluggish vs. Nevada to say the least. I've heard Gib on all the radio shows and he didn't hide the fact that he was pissed. I don't see Hawaii coming out and playing lethargic for this one. Second, its not likely that Zane Johnson is going to have another horrible game. If he hits his threes this game is going to be a blowout because that opens up the inside for Vander and Thomas. Third, I think Hans Bereton is starting to step it up a bit. He had something like 17 points vs. Nevada. He hit some 3s and took it strong inside. Fourth, Miah O. is such a awesome point guard. The Nevada players were leaving him wide open because they didn't think he could knock down outside shots. Well, he proved them wrong by hitting 4. He was hands down the best player in Hawaii in high school and by far the leading scorer (I know that's not saying much, but he can shoot the ball if left open). Lastly (and this may not matter much), Trevor Wiseman is back after pouting and not wanting to go back in a game after called upon. His stats may not show up on paper, but he's valuable in hustle points. He just seems to be at the right place at the right time.

Anyway, my $$ is on Hawaii -5.5. I'm going to wait until tomorrow to put in majority of my bet because I usually bet through two houses and the house that offers -105 juice doesn't post his lines until tomorrow. I do think this line climbs up to 6 or even 6.5 so I'm putting in something tonight with the other house even if I have to pay -110. So here it is boys...

Hawaii -5.5.....$550 to win $500

Will be putting in another $1500 tomorrow with the house that offers -105. Hope the line doesn't climb too high.

Let me know what you guys think...Good luck with all the wagers this weekend. No football...sniff, sniff.

Forgot to mention that Fresno is not really good on the road. Check out their W-L record for away games. Good luck.

Totally agree with you on every key point Raze. Not to mention the fact that Fresno st wil be coming off a very tough double ot loss to San jose st. not even 30 hours ago. The only angle I see for Fresno is revenge for a home loss UH dealt them last month. But I do think the fact that UH is coming off a lethargic performance against nevada will not lead to a letdown spot for hawaii. And yes, Gib was pissed after the game for the lack of effort vs nevada especially in the rebounding dept. where hawaii usually has an edge with their bigs, but was outrebounded by almost 20 for the game. The bright spot for Hawaii was definitely Miah getting his shot on. Teams need to know that if they double vander or zane that Miah will try to score the ball. I was surprised to see this line open up so low, but Fresno has kept most of their conference road games tight. Don't think that will be the case tonight. The half might be a juicy play as well as fresno has had a lead or tie at halftime in only 1 of their 13 true road games---against Pacific(9-14)---and none of their conf roadies which include @utah st-trailed by 13, @idaho-trailed by 1, @nevada trailed by 2, @LA tech trailed by 8, @nmst -trailed by 8, @sjst- trailed by 6--------------If the line moves to 6 then hawaii -3 to 3.5 should be the halftime line---------I will pound this line for sure. Fresno has no answer for hawaii's bigs still and vander and thomas should dominate down low. Defense and rebounding will be a point of emphasis tommorow for hawaii. Hawaii really caught nevada at a bad time-------after their 1st loss in over a month and they outhustled Hawaii in every facet of that game.------won't happen again. GL to us!!!

The line is down to Hawaii -5. This is a little weird for me. Thought the public would be all over Hawaii. Maybe they saw how UH got dismantled vs. Nevada. I, for one, think that UH could've beat Nevada. Despite Hawaii getting out rebounded (Nevada almost had as many offensive rebounds to Hawaii's total rebounds!), they could've pull this one out. I don't think Hawaii gets out rebounded or out hustled tonight. Just a hunch I have from watching Hawaii teams from years past.

I put in the other 3/4 of my wager, so my bet looks like this...

Hawaii -5.5...$550 to win $500
Hawaii -5...$1575 to win $1500
Hawaii -2.5 1H...$545 to win $500

Wish me luck and good luck to all your wagers this weekend.

here's what i have with just a quick look at some stats

FRESNO ST ATS ON RD=7-6 going 2-4 last 6 games ats
3-7 su in conf.play going 4-6 ats but 0-6 su away

HAWAII is 7-5 ats at home, most of their stats are close to the spread or around .500 in conf play

all in all the game looks to be tightly contested,no real edge for either in series, looks like a tough game to really count on but give it a go if you feel confident,i for one will not be involved with this contest

good luck :toast:

Nice. I think I like Hawaii for this one as well.

Anyone happen to have a stream for it? I know it doesn't start for another hour...just saying...
