All fair and square, no bonuses, just an account. Is there problems with this? And the different parties do not play at the same books?

I have let my buddy play in my account several times, and he even knows the ID and password to a couple. But, we have known each other all of our life and would never sucker each other out of any money under any condition. Not only because of our friendship, but there's also a "pride" issue we value too much.

Genny,

Good question kid, very good question. Because what can happen now is some descrepency could occur here. What if someone knows my pw and acct # and bet into my acct, can't the book just say, hey, you gave your pw to someone, therefore, it must be ok. This would be a win win situation for the player. Because if the game wins, of course the player ain't calling back to say cancel the win, it wasn't mine, and if it loses, he cries to book and says, it wasn't me. This happened to me already where someone knew my pw, bet a game behind my back.. It is not a good feeling. But the bottom line is, everyone should be responsible for their own pw's and acct #s. If you're stupid like me and trust people with it, then you deserve to get nailed. I learnt my lesson. You can't even have a rule saying it must be your voice, bec then you can really scam books like this. Just make your buddy call, and if it loses, you can just call back next day and say, hey it wasnt my voice, and you get money back. NO GOOD. If a play is put in by someone else with right pw and acct#, that bet is good. It's the only solution.. There's no other way..

Hache man--While I see nothing wrong with your situation, some books might not like it --different IP's. So why give them ANY REASON to f--k you? Just my opinion.

I have an account at Oly, Pinnacle, Grande, Canbet, & Sportbet. 2 buddies want to play so I get their monies up front and deposit $500 in 2 accounts, different books for them. They play using my account. I do not play at those 2 books while they are.

Is this wrong?

I don't know oldmantime, just never really thought it was a big deal. He's not a large player anyhow, so it's really not an issue to me. He only knows one or two, not all of them I use. If he loses, he always pays up, and always will, I'm not concerned at all.......Even though he does owe me a few hundred from losing almost $2,000 at blackjack a few weeks ago!

General, I dont understand, what would be the problem? No difference in them playing in there than you. I'm sure the books have no problem taking the money, regardless of who's it is.

don't play this week, but the accounts are loaded... and two FRIENDS of mine know id and pass... they don't have own accounts but like two put one or two bets sometime... so they're alloud to play in my account... they win... they get cash from me... they lose... they pay me the cash... no problems at all if you only let play FRIENDS and not "buddy's" into it...

I do not see a problem either, but I am asking if others see a problem.

The one thing overlooked is that by allowing others to play into your account--you "may" be looked at as a bookie. Or who the hell knows these days?

yeah, different IP's but what if you play on different computers? I have a computer at work I log into my account with. Is something wrong with that? I think not, this would be taking it a bit far if a book would hold this against you.
quote:
Originally posted by oldmantime:

no problem with any book until now... bet from home from my fix ip (cable) and from work where two different ip's (HUGE proxies from a Top 20 Company) are in the game... one if i go by netscape and one if i go by IE... no problem at all...neteller included...

You are all correct about the IP's not being the same. I was thinking maybe of Neteller. Didn't someone have a problem getting their funds out from another IP. (I think it may have been more to it than just that, but probably the books would not care.)

As far being considered a "bookie". Man you can hardly rule out anything these days.

A few weeks ago I saw a show on the CBS news, where someone had bought a car at a USA government aution. (These were cars seized from drug dealers). They were supposedly searched before autioning. Someone bought one and was stopped for some monor driving violation--the cops found drugs. The guy is still in jail!! Some damm scarry sh^@!!!! (A true story)

I don't understand why anyone would even consider this.
