Years ago I worked as a co-op at IBM, and my manager at the time became a close friend. We spent a good amount of time
together. He talked me into giving him $30K to go into a real-estate investment with him (I was young and naive).

He turned out to be a total charlatan and scammer, and he took the $30K and ran.

It was most of the money I had saved while working during college.

If I ever see him again, I'll be tempted to put a bullet in his head.

at least back in the day some shops like Cascade and Royal were offering bailouts of Aces. Thats how I recovered my money there.
