My dog.

He bit a guy delivering a bed headboard this weekend. Guy called cops. Noonan is sweating hard.

They rang the bell at the gate, but before I could make it to the intercom they opened the front gate, came in with a huge box and got nailed.

5-0 came by while I was out surfing....giving a statement later today.....shit....why ring the damn bell if you arent going to give me even 10 seconds to answer.....ughhhhh this sucks....I have no problem paying any medical bills, but going to be real issues if they try to take my dog....he was in my yard fully contained.....but door wasnt locked....stressing

Dog is great with my kids and our guests (i.e., if i greet you at the door) but two random dudes coming into the yard with a 7+ foot long box that he doesnt know is not a good situation. if anything it should be on me, not the dog. next door neighbors had a work crew cutting down a tree which didnt help either since he was already nervous from all the banging

Did you have a beware of dog sign? Hopefully you did and then there should be no issue at all! What kind of dog? What kind of pussy calls the cops for a dog bite?

Same shit happened to me. Neighbor calls spca saying dogs mistreated not getting water etc. (Total BS). They just didn't like my dogs barking. Anyway, spca dude comes out and wants to see the dogs. I open gate with dude behind me. German Shepard leaps at dude biting him under armpit. Cops, ambulance comes. Long story short he sued for 100k. LOL and settled for 10k which HOI paid.

Here's the thing Noonan. You aren't liable because it's your property and guys opened gate by themselves. The dog was just defending his property. The reason they found me liable is because I opened the gate. You need an attorney, though.

I'm not sure based on some stuff I read online yesterday, but logic would suggest you are correct since we have a gate with a bell, camera, intercom etc and the house is set back from the sidewalk/fence. Problem is it wasnt locked and there wasnt a beware of dog sign up. Sure hope you are right tho man, thats for damn sure. I am going to call the officer back later on today....did anything happen to your dog?

I didnt. Had one up at my old place but hadnt hung it after moving this summer. He is a mix. The report says pitt, I would say mutt. Has some foxhound or something in him. We adopted him. He is like 10 years old but in good shape.

The guy didnt even finish the delivery or take back the other headboard (they had delivered the wrong one the first time a few months ago)....just left the box and called the cops I think...so now i have a police report, two headboards, a pissed wife and a fugitive mutt who just thought he was doing his job protecting the house....we had the kids, my parents (visiting) and my wife in the house when it all went down

23 is not an adult?!

I don't think it is...Most guys that age are just entering the real world barely getting by living with roomates and still living the college life at night. Instead of class, they are going into an entry level position most of the time.

I'd offer temporary refuge if we weren't on different coast. hopefully it all works out

Does it become a federal offense if you hide your dog crossing state lines lol
