I have a good buddy who concentrates on 3 conferences in college hoops. Learns everything he can about those teams and only bets league games. Has done very well.

What about taking 2 or 3 teams in each league in baseball, or any 5 or 6 for that matter and just read everything you can on a daily basis about them, then just bet on or against only those teams when you think the time is right.

Does anyone employ this tactic or something close ?

I am a big Dodger fan. I watch just about every game. I do pretty good with wagering on/against them.

i have direct tv with the mlb package and have 4 monitors in my family room / home office. i watch baseball every night.

i might start looking at 4 to 6 teams primarily as an experiment for a month or so. read local newspapers for them and watch all their games .

I think for the most part what your friend is doing is trimming down the teams on his Radar to 30 or so, which is about equal to a pro league.

So no, I don't do that in bases, or other pro sports, but have found myself doing it in CBB, with a focus on area leagues...in our case, SEC, ACC and ConfUSA

he deals with the ACC , SEC and the Big Ten.

we grew up in michigan and now both live in florida. hence, the affiliation.

youre my other buddy..

i really think one could do well working on 5 or 6 teams and betting their games.

their would be several hundred opportunities a year for or against.
