Flamingo's sportsbook is a joke.
0 nightlife at Flamingo.
Nice pool.
Horrible table games and no playable video poker in casino.
Good location (watch sports at Caesars, play 21 and poker at Mirage)
Basic rooms are garbage.
Go rooms are overrated.
I wouldnt eat anywhere at the Flamingo except maybe Margaritaville

Everyone please relax, right now you have the best of both worlds when it comes to a Bash - two separate dates to fit into your schedules. The best way all of you can help is to vote in the "which Bash are you going to attend" thread that Xpanda posted and is pinned to the top of this forum. Rooms for two nights will be comped for all Rxers who sign up but for now please let us know which date you are planning on making it to Vegas on.
Regarding the actual hotel we are going to use, as much as all of us at The Rx.com would like to OFFICIALLY announce a venue we are not going to do that until all the I's are dotted and T's are crossed on the contract with whatever hotel eventually hosts both functions..
Please be patient regarding the hotel choice as you will know the name of the choice immediately when we here at the Rx are certain ourselves. Room rates are very high even for hotels like the Flamingo, Alladin, Hooters, and others in that category, most likely wherever we end up there will be posters who will claim the place is a dump. Unfortuantely there is not enough money in the budget to put everyone up at The Wynn or The Bellagio and still give away thousands of dollars in food and beverages, not to mention the thousands in generous cash prizes that will be given away to lucky Rxers.
The truth is we are trying to get the best venue possible for the substantial expenditure involved. Our main concern is that you the posters have a great time and there are several people working very hard right now to see that happen..

Your reply was about as non-sequitirish as it gets. I just asked if those were the two being considered. Nowhere in there did I or anyone in the thread state we wanted to have it at the Bellagio or Wynn. Hell, if there was a little more room there I'd enjoy taking over the Casino Royale.
I didn't know Hooters was in the mix and honestly have not ever stepped foot in there. Likely this week, I will give it the once-over as well.

You have to sign up and the amount of comped rooms is not unlimited so those rooms will be issued on a registration date basis. The best thing you can do now is tell us which date you are coming by voting in the thread that I mentioned in my last post in this thread. Most lilely when all the poster names who are definitely flying in are counted there will be rooms for everyone.
BTW. Rxers who live in Las Vegas are kindly requested to not sign up for a comped room because it may force us to leave an out of towner off the comped room list. I know in the past some locals have occupied comped rooms even though they have their own homes in the area. I understand it is convienent to have a place to crash during the day but please try to consider others who don't have any other options than a room at the Bash hotel comped by The Rx.com.
