FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The Red Sox recently took a pass on Barry Bonds after the slugger's agent, Jeff Borris, wrote a letter to the Red Sox and 29 other major league teams asking to give Bonds a job according to major league sources.

It does not appear any major league team has responded with a "yes" and it doesn't appear the home run king, whose perjury trial has been delayed, will get the opportunity to play for a major league team ever again.

I think MLB told him how they wanted him to handle the scandal and he decided to do it his own way. Now they are blackballing him. Some team would take a chance. They are under orders not to. Just my opinion.

Clubhouse problems, a huge salary hit, legal problems which may force him to miss games and the possibility that, due to increased testing and not being able to juice, he'll play like a typical 45 year old. Don't think any team needs to be told by MLB not to sign him.

I'd say Bonds and Clemens have been blacklisted by every MLB team the bad press is not worth an overrated and over the hill drug user. Plus kinda hard to play ball if you are behind bars.LOL

this is the truth, ANY team COULD structure a contract to ALLOW him to play Pending all issues,,

MLB just doesnt want an ACTIVE player involved with that,,
