On 12/28/03 I made a withdrawal of one thousand from www.sportsbook.com requesting for a bankwire and have not received the fund as of today. I called them the last few days and was given all kind of excuses like being understaff, holiday season and too many players withdraw money at the same time. A friend of mine is also in the same boat as he is still waiting for a wire transfer that was made on 12/29/03. Seems to me like this book is in some sort of financial trouble and having a hard time to pay up.

I requested a wire for 3 dimes from players only and got. Requested i dime from linesmaker a few days before playersonly and still waiting. Got the same excuse you got. First I was told it went out on the 6th. Then i was told that it actually went out on the 8th. Then I was told it actually went out on the 9th. Either way I should have gotten it by now. If I don't get it by tomorrow I'm going to call IFS. The people there are much more knowledgeable and helpful than those at EFS.

General, you can call them at 800 996 5152 to find out what is the real problem with this book. I was told that it is normal for a bankwire to take up to 15 business days since they are located outside of the USA. My wife is a branch manager at Chase Bank and she has never heard such thing. Realisticly, it should only take a few hours for a bank wire to reach the receiving bank once the sending bank confirms the availability of the fund and release the fund. I had just check the review of this book and it is currently rated at D. Very sad!

Please excuse my ignorance, but what is IFS? And what is EFS?

Halifak,

What is IFS and their phone number? I was really pissed off because they even tried to lie to me when a few days ago told me that they received the wire sent back and were going to overnight me a check instead. Yesterday, I called for my FEDEX tracking number then was told that the wire was sent out again on the 8th and it will take 10 business days to reach my account.

Linesmaker,

You've got mail.

Hal,

They flat out refused to use the routing number I provided, and kept wasiting time sending the wire out with the wrong instructions. So I finnally gave up, and asked sportfanatik to send me a check which I got. But now if I ever play at sportfanatik again, I can't get a wire, because they put a note in the account to change the wire instructions I provide, and to use a different routing number that doesn't work. You'd think after two returned wires, they'd admit they were wrong and I was right. But not EFS

FOr those of you who don't know, your withdrawal request go to EFS. after EFS verifies that you are entitled to the withdrawal, they send instructions to IFS to send you the money. IFS is actually the one that sends instructions to the bank, and they are first to know if their is a problem with the wire or check. If there is a problem, IFS sends an email to EFS. But it could take a day or two before EFS reads the email. I know from experience when I'd call IFS, they could tell me right away that the wire was returned. I'd then call EFS, and they'd have no idea what I was talking about. Worse, the cs people at EFS that you are forced to talk to, don't even know who IFS is.

I didn't do a wire transfer, but I took a payout from sportsbook.com on Sunday night, and got the Fedex check yesterday for 2 grand. No problems here.

I may have to stop using wires and just stck to fedex. My fear is always that somehow someway the check gets lost, and it will take years before efs issues a new check

I've got the same problem with them. I have two wire withdrawls pending from them, one over 15 days old. I've gotten multiple excuses as to bank delays on thier end, and then flat out lies that the wires had been sent and the delays are from my bank.

I equate headaches and pains like this to good snatch, "Easy to put in and hard as hell to pull out!" when it comes to EFS. Good luck gentlemen but I left EFS books a long time ago after I knew and found better.

Looks like they had major issues between them and thier bank. Assume for now that the wires went out on the 13th. We should all be getting our money today or tomorrow

Yes if it's a Sportingbet family issue they had problems with wires at the end of 03 and beginning of 04. I talked to a few of the financial people there and they expect the funds to be there 5 business days after the 9th (I was told today the next 24 hours I would see my wire and no later than Monday).

I've had dozens of wires from them with no problems so this is a minor blip in the road for me. Of course I want the money there so I don't have to worry about it.

I called today and received the same respond they had to send out the wire transfer again and asked to wait 5 more days for this wire to show up. Originally this wire was sent out on 12/28/03 and it has been 18 days and counting. It is funny that they would not cut me a check like I requested and continue to resend the wire knowing problems are happenning.
