was he chasing back losses ?...had to be on tilt and got lucky
I mentioned this before a few times on the forum, but I turned $2700 into $20k on Bodog back in the early 2000s - had my (then) gf put a password on the computer's bios so I couldn't get on while they processed a partial payout, but two days later I convinced her to give it to me and I lost almost all of it. Cashed out for something in the high $3000s. Had my "lucky day" and completely blew it.
I did the same in mid 2000s. I was hooked and lost it all back. They gave you a percentage bonus back to your account for losses or amount you played I think. It was wild to login the next day and have $1K or $2K in pay back bonus. Those days are over for me now as I am older and have more responsibilities.
I'd like to think that if it happened again, that I'd have more restraint. It killed my relationship with my (then) girlfriend, and she was really someone I shoulder hung onto. I'm more disciplined now, but still not enough to be termed responsible. I still kick myself when I think about that $20k.
