Has anyone ever heard of this sports figure?

I seem to remember a name from my childhood, I am not sure if I am mistaken or not ,but has anyone ever heard of an athlete by the name of "Dragon Maketovitch"(spelling is probably wrong), but I am almost sure this was an actual athlete many years back.
