truthteller- I think the internet was created for two things. Betting offshore and meeting people on line. It's a great way to meet "special friends" and f**k buddies. They both mean the same thing but I like the latter expression better. There are tons of women looking for no strings attached fun and a little company when they're in the mood. I think every one of my good friends right now that are with someone met them online. In CA its almost the only way people meet anymore, any stigma to doing it seems to have disappeared there. I did it a few times years ago, but got married to someone I met the old fashioned way, at a party.
I have met lots of women online. It's much tougher to meet the hotter ones online because they have a gazillion guys emailing them and all trying to get down their pants. I have had lots of success with women online in the past, but these days i'm sticking to girls that don't do the online crap. The online girls are constantly on instant messenger and they are like addicts when it comes to the IM $HIT and email stuff. To me after awhile it becomes too much of a hassle and the distance WILL ALWAYS get in the way. I would much rather have a girlfriend/wife that was never involved in the internet scene and spends most of her free or night time at home doing something more constructive like housework or reading a good book than always being on the net. Also i found that a lot of the women especially the ones on match dot com stay there for a very long time if they are in the RUFF RUFF category. The hot ones move on and don't frequent the site after the initial onslaught of emails. They become burdened with a boatload of guys trying to meet them and score with them. They than in turn get frustrated and go back to their old lifestyle which includes meeting guys who are friends of friends or going back to the bar scene where they can at least see the guy in person and they don't have to worry about some out of shape garbage man showing up to meet them and trying to get down their pants on the first date.
