Was thinking about listing my car for sale on craigslist and wanted to know if anybody had any dealings on craigslist either selling or buying anything and wanted to know what you think about craigslist in general.

Thanks in advance ! Gravy :103631605

I have bought sporting event tickets on there several times. Never had a problem because when you go to pick up the product you meet the person and they drive a car so you can get their license number plus when you are talking to them on the phone you have their phone number. I would never buy anything on there real expensive but I have never had trouble getting a tough ticket that I wanted.

If your not in a hurry to sell anything, good place to sell especially if your in a good size population base. Ebay and Pay Pal eat up alot of your profits with their brutal fees etc. \So i don't even sell anything their anymore !! Do Ok on that site

A guy who works for me recently sold his truck on there (no issues). I bought a dog and event tickets as well. Never an issue...

Several have rented hookers, closed now but I'm sure TONS of issues with that.

I have sold (e.g. treadmill) and given away things (old shutters, etc) on craigslist...and have also purchased things (e.g. weights, surfboard)...use common sense and you should not have any problems.

I have sold 2 cars on craigslist, just use common sense as someone already mentioned and you'll be fine. If someone says they are going to give you more than what your car is worth in check form, you should be able to tell thats a scam

I buy tickets all the time. Best place to buy em (including) Stubhub since there isn't a processing fee.

Always had sucess but its a scammers playground...Over half the responses to anything ive put up have been straight out of Nigeria.....I needed some quick cash once on a sunday night, put a guitar on there about 6pm and by 9pm it was gone and paid for in cash....

CL would work good in Mass, if the parts are common, and you get a local buyer, no shipping costs

if some odd parts, then ebay, IMO.

A Northwest Side man was robbed of $5,000, his cell phone, and his pants when he was trying to buy a car through craigslist last night.
The 22-year-old man said he and his girlfriend were not injured but said the ordeal was frightening. "They took a lot of things," he said.
The man was trying to buy an Infiniti he'd seen advertised on craigslist and was told to meet the seller last night at a home in the 4300 block of North Laramie Avenue in the Portage Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side, according to the man and police.
The home's door was open, so he went inside where he began talking to two men while his 20-year-old girlfriend waited inside a 2004 Nissan in the alley, according to police.
But things turned ugly when one of the duo pulled a silver handgun and hit the victim on the back of the head with it. The other man drew a black gun and demanded he take off his pants and shoes, according to police.
When the man brandishing the black gun began to yell: "Where's the money?" a third assailant came out of a small kitchen closet and the victim was tied up with a cable and string and left on the kitchen floor, police said.
The man with the black gun then ran out to the girlfriend and opened the Nissan's door, screaming at her: "Where's the money, b----?"
He ordered her out of the car and began to pat her down, finding $5,000 in her pants, police said. He fled south through the alley while the other two left through the front door, police said.
The man and his girlfriend called police from her cell phone and officers went to help them at Belle Plaine and Milwaukee avenues about 9:20 p.m., police said.
A complete description of the thieves was not available.
No arrests have been made.
