Oh God don't make me laugh! To compare getting stiffed by a tribe in New York (where they aren't even allowed real slots except at the new Seneca casino) and a casino in Nevada is crazy. That is like someone asking if Bank of America ever stiffed them out of money and then someone replying yeah, my uncle Vito who runs a bank out of the local pawn shop stiffed me once before. Nevada has regulators, tribes don't. As your buddy found out, if you have an issue with a tribe you have little recourse other than to make a lot of noise about it and hope they don't like bad publicity. If you have a problem with a licensed Nevada operation there is a whole legal system set up to resolve it and the courts don't even play a role in it, its all people strictly dedicated to anything related to licensed gaming in the state.
