Harrahs Vegas: Can't bet a dime on a NBA total + the Strip sucks, take $ to downtown

Yesterday was my last day in Vegas. I wanted to put a dime on the DET under.

$1100 was denied at Harrahs, only for Diamond customers. So I asked if I could wait 5 mins and rebet the line if it doesn't move. He said no.

(I was told at Circus Circus Reno you could rehit the line again after waiting 5 mins to see if the line moves.)

So I did $550 at Harrahs and 3 mins later I put $550 at Imperial Palace. What a joke!

But, Harrahs Reno will let me put a dime on a play no questions asked.

The Strip sucks. The best books in Vegas are downtown. Cal-Neva #1 in my book (Binions & 4 Queens), then the Plaza and Nugget.

I hate the strip...not accessable to line shop.

Isn't Nick Bogodovich head man at Cal-Neva Reno these days? He'll take action...and is very sharp and not balance a line and gamble for more profit to his books.

if i remember correctly binions doesnt offer a sportsbook anymore.

you need to find different books. I put $2k on a game for a friend at Hard Rock with no problem (the guy working the counter had to turn around get clearance but he ok the play without pause) and I was behind a guy at Mandalay who dropped $10 or $15k, I forget which, on USC second half against Fresno a couple years back. The boss didn't flinch and they were definitely getting more action on USC on that play so it wasn't a hope that it would balance play.
