Who could forget his butchering of Hideki Irabu's name - "Hideki Aruba".

"Jo D, Jody Davis"

Harry sure liked his Bud though.

Here's to you Harry!

I still remember watching one game in the Stardust book, only game on during an afternoon so it had sound. Jeff Fassero was pitching for the Expos and Harry couldn't get his name right. For awhile he kept calling him "Ferraro" then Steve said "Fassero" to which Harry replied "Farrero". Then he stumbled over the name "Ferrero, Fasseso, Fassero" and then you hear "Fer...for crying out loud I can't get his name today" and of course there is Stone racing to the rescue "Don't worry Harry I am sure Jeff will forgive you". Yeah, that is professionalism at its best.

Actually the best line from Harry was when he was with the White Sox around 1975. Jorge Orta (Sox hispanic 2nd baseman at the time) lost a popup in the sun and it fell. Harry - "Jimmy, How could a Mexican lose the ball in the sun?" Imagine saying that today?

Leykis101: I vividly remember the Jody Davis chants...

Sung to the tune of Da-vy, Da-Davy Crockett, king of the wild frontier:

Jo-dy, Jo-dy Davis...he hits the ball so far.

Another favorite line of his when a Cub would pop up in a clutch situation: "Agggggggghhh...that wouldn't be a home run in a phone booth!"
