But I don't see how what he did took away from Manning. Don't see the connection there whatsoever.
+1
Besides you have about 70.000 fans in the stadium. Even with a blowout, teams not giving 100% anymore and some alltime records being set, at least some of them might actually prefer to see both teams try to run some decent plays instead of just going through the motions for the final 10-15min.
And if you're complaining about Harbaugh taking a timeout there, wouldn't it be worth just as much criticism for Denver calling a pass play right after the timeout on 3rd and 8 instead of just running the clock and punting and calling a pass play (Brockweiler ended up scramble for 2 yards, being 1yard short of a new first down) on 3rd and 3 with 12min left in the drive before that?
To be honest what surprised me most was Fox leaving Hillman in for the 1st and 2nd down runs in that 2nd to last drive with 13min left in the game being up by 32. Why risk an injury to your RB, when the game is out of hand and you already took out other starters? I mean Montee Ball is already down and Hillman is (at least in my opinion) by far their best/complete RB. So why risk an injury to the guy when your depth at that position is already not the best? Plus it was a chance to give Thompson or Anderson some reps, even though it was just garbage time.
