In San Diego. Jim Harbaugh was making the rounds in San Diego yesterday and ended up at Del Mar Race Track for opening day. He is a nice enough guy and has a pretty good personality. He made no excuses for his rather slow start at Michigan, but still has a world of confidence in himself. He impressed those of us who were lucky enough to spend a few minutes with him.
It was a good news, bad news day for him. The bad news? Despite his cool personality, all of us who talked to him still think that Michigan finishes no better then third in the Big 10 this season. The good news? Harbaugh jumped on a horse ridden by Mario Gutierrez and trained by Red Hot trainer Doug O'neill. The horse hit and paid $20.00 for the win. The name of the horse? Ann Arbor Eddie, of course. Does this mean that Harbaogh promotes back-up WR "Eddie" McDoom?
