PS: A new poll released by Gallup this week revealed that a minority of Democrats, only 47 percent, say they are “extremely proud” to be Americans.
How many historical accounts do we have to read of people who were on their way to freedom, but opted instead for servitude? It's in ancient Babylonian writings, Egypt, the Bible, Cromwell, Revolutionary France...pretty much everywhere.
Even here, in this country, there are groups of people who would be completely content turning over all their (and your) freedoms (with the exception of their freedom of genitalia) to the government.
Why? Because they are afraid. They are simply scared of life and want someone to bonce them on their knee and tell them that he will protect them from the E-VUL Bogeyman. It doesn't matter who the bogeyman-du jour is, really. These people live in fear. And ask any shrink...with fear comes hate. That explains the primal hatred that the said shitheads have for freedom and those of us that desire it. They're basically afraid of it.
On this day, 239 years ago, a group of some truly bad ass mother fuckers decided they were no longer going to live like that. They decided to live on their own terms through an experiment called The United States of America where freedom FROM government was its goal. Much like now...about 1/3 of the people were patriots and agreed, 1/3 of the people were our modern day pussies who were afraid, and 1/3 didn't give a flying fuck either way.
The contest has always been between those who truly want freedom and those who are afraid of it.

I am glad to celebrate the 4th in honor of what this country used to stand for and for all the historic events that got is where we used to be. Not so happy about where this once great nation is going however. The flag represents our history and used to be honored not only by Americans but by people all over the world who received are aid and support in a time of need. Right now it is us who are in a time of need and anyone who does not understand that is part of the problem. I will never give up on this country but all the changes we have seen in the past 6 years have destroyed a lot of the hope that was promised and in fact already existed. We need to step up and regain our place in the world. The world needs us and we need them. BOL

Our food, our water, our homes, our transportation, our businesses, our communication, our education, our money, our health care, our security and just about any other private and individual concern is mismanaged to a startling degree by a bloated, inefficient, corrupt behemoth well call The Federal Government. The economy is being ruled, taxed, policied, czared and regulated to death...most of it without input from citizens.
