At least he's not a White Sock. Can you imagine the hyperbole we would be subject to if that was the case?
Come on, I'm a Marlin fan and while Hanley is potentially a superstar, the old folks homes are littered with "potential".

Ok Whatever bash away... what is new create a thread with an opinion and get destroyed... have a good one bashing away at this thread as I am done with this thread... later
When your opinion is retarded, then it will get bashed every time. You need to work on your opinions if you want to speak out and not get bashed.

Give me Hanley right now at this moment... I'll take the 24 year old... Lead off man with speed and power who plays SS...

Power hitters come a dime a dozen... Players like Hanley and Reyes don't. I can fill Pujols spot with a lot of players, although not equal, but close enough...

What????? Hitters who have 40+ HR the last four seasons and 100+ rbi's every season are a dime a dozen?

I know this may sound bold but I don't think Reyes is all that close to as good. And I think Reyes is great...

Ramirez hitting about 30 points higher... Has more power... just as much speed... and close to an equal glove. OBP are similar... but Hanley has a higher average and more power

Here we go again.
I kept hearing the same shit over and over again in 2005 about Peralta.
Several 'in the know' baseball experts were calling him the best SS in the game.
I countered with "Can we please see more than 1 season before we dub him the best 'anything'

Same thing applies to Ramierez.
Ramierez stole 51 bases last season.
This will be Reyes's third straight 60 steal season.

Reyes's OBA continues to skyrocket as he has become more patient at the plate.

Ramierez has booted 15 balls this season so far, Reyes, 5.
Both have similar range.

The only thing Ramierez does better is hit for power.
And the difference in that is not that demonstative.

Jeter is better, Reyes is better, a healthy Tejada is better.

Signing Renteria and then dumping him was where they went wrong. You fools just needed to have a little bit of patience with him.

I have watched alot of this Ramirez guy this year. He is the best overall talent on the Marlins and probably the top 3-4 in baseball. His future looks promising.

This thread is not as rediculous as many of you think.

To say he is better than Cabrera is absurd

I know he steals more bases, but that is about it, Miguel gets more Hr's,Rbis',more LB's, higher AVG and more walks

Ramirez doesn't juice, and Cabrera is very questionable. I am a huge Miguel fan, but I am liking Ramirez more and more.

So first off you say he is better than Cabrera, now you are saying that Miguel Cabrera, a prospect who was so good he was brought up midseason when he was 19, and helped them win a WS, is juicing

While Hanley who is great, dont get me wrong, is the one if any of them that should be suspected of juicing

I mean Hanley in 454 Minor league games had a COMBINED 32 Homers, you hear that, and this season he has 14 already, so if anyone of them is juicing Hanley is the likeable one here

Cabrera has been doing this for quite a while already and is IMO just getting fat, not juicing like Barry was

PS Cabrera is only 8 months older than Hanley so dont say Hanley is gonna get better, so will Cabrera

Before and after pics of Cabrera after his Rookie year look very much like he is on the juice. Hanley hardly looks like he is juicing.

If Cabrera is truly just getting fat then Yes I would say the future looks much brighter for Hanley.
