I'll be posting every losing hand to lose a tournament. I have lost a lot of tournaments, probably 70%, when I was the leader going into the flop. I will also post when I got lucky because that's important to remember. I know PPP does this kind of but I figured I'd help out. In 5 tournament tonight so will post 5+ hands. Hopefully less haha

I have placed in the same percentage of tournaments as nearly all of the guys who have profits of 100k+, but I can't get as deep as them. I don't know if this is because I struggle and play wrong late or they just catch the right cards. I sometimes feel like I get dealt Jacks or Queens so they can thin the field when a4 calls and hits an ace.

Not sure what to do differently outside of grinding more and more. I just can't close the deal. Hopefully tonight will be different. Gonna play as fearless late as I do early in tournaments, but I'm a very tight player so we'll see.

Feel free to contribute to the thread and post every hand that you lose a tournament on, but don't forget to post the ones where you were beat. Also post the ones that you were beat and came back and won and stayed alive so we can figure out if we're all just crazy with our conspiracies. I'll be posting every hand I'm all in and a dog and win and then the last hand of every tournament.

Im going to try something else tonight. A well known poster on Pocket5's posted awhile back that he couldnt win with 2 jokers and was frustrated beyond hope. He went on a vacation to Cali, i think he's from the east coast somewhere...

While in Cali he decided to play on a friends laptop and walla........he runs like God and makes a big score. His theory was that they track u by i.p. address and set the doomswitch by that. I dont agree as it would be much easier to do it via ur username BUT the only MTT i ever played on somebody elses computer i had the best finish id ever had up till that time.
So tonight i finally have my laptop with Verizon Air card working and im entering the 27.50 40 K as we speak...results in a lil while!!

Lost my 5$ Rebuy because I sat out to make the money and then lost after I made it.

Still in another tournament. And in the 15 at 9 central.

I'll post the way I go out in those. Got extremely lucky in the 3 dollar but forgot to post the hand history. Should have lost and tripled up when I was very short.

Lost my last two tournaments as a big dog. So reasonable. Deserved them both as I'm tilting a little because of this White Sox game.

bankroll management

that way u can deal with variance

I have great bank roll management. IMO. I haven't won a tournament in two years. I won 9800 dollars in one week two years ago, and before that I'd won 3200 in tournaments in the three weeks before that. I hadn't deposited a dime into a site until 6 months ago. I had used that money, while withdrawing quite a bit, in that time. I have been playing the same style and placed in the same percentage of tournaments since that time but I have gotten knocked out of a lot more tournaments as a huge favorite in comparison to staying in tournaments as a huge dog. Yesterday it was 1-1 and I deserved to lose the ones I lost so I juts got out played. I'll be grinding all day today as well so I'll let you know how it goes.

Should of laid it down after his initial raise but figured I had a lot of possibilities. Inevitably I trapped myself. That was just bad cards by me and I should have read that as well and laid it down. It was an obvious move after the flush draw came out and three jacks he checks.

I'm still alive in the tournament but I'm getting pretty short. Will post how I exit from this one. I need to tell myself to stop chasing period. If I don't hit a flop and it cost me to see the next card then lay it down. It is either a set up or I won't hit. Even when I do I have to worry that someone has the higher nuts. I put him on JQ to be honest, but still I was beat.

Haven't been on my A-Game recently and need to get back to playing my patient style. Guess I've been a bit more aggressive with all the bad beats recently. I'll keep you guys updated as I'll be grinding all day today.

That's the second tournament of the day. First one I lost 44 to 55 and was a huge dog, but I was short.

Then this tournament I get cracked on the river after playing the hand perfectly. Let me add I haven't had a huge suck out yet. So now that's one bad bad bad beat.

To lose the tournament I may add and if I win I'm slightly above average stack.

no offense - but it doesn't sound like you have "great bankroll management" considering in one of your posts you talked about sitting out of a 5 dollar rebuy so you could make the money

someone with great bankroll management would never sit out of any tourney to make the money (especially a 5 dollar rebuy) but would try to accumulate as many chips as possible on the bubble

I just took a horrible beat and had 3k in chips with the average stack being 25k. I had no chance of coming back and winning but I did have a chance of getting some cash back. I never play to cash but in that spot I needed to double up 3 times to be back to average stack.

Just lost that hand in a S-N-G. Not a favorite and it was a flip but I'd like to win a flip one time. Just lost a flip the hand before.

Hand before.

Lost that tournament on back to back flips. Needed to make a move with the blinds getting big and I'd just like to win a flip here and there. I just can't catch one right now. I'll continue posting.

Lost another tournament.

JJ got cracked after going all in pre-flop by 55. Guy hit a 5 on the turn. That crippled me and then a couple hands later my 99 ran into qq and I lost.

So the bad beat cripples me then I was hoping to get lucky. Keep you updated. Hopefully I'll get lucky once so I can post it.

Remember this is only when I go all-in.

Sorry I don't post hand history for it all. Sometimes I X out of the screen.

In another tournament and I'll be in 5 or 6 more tonight so I'll keep you guys updated.

Another unreal beat. Don't even know what to say. Would have made me make the money in this S-N-G for sure.

Still alive in this tournament obviously, but short now.
