6-2 on Tuesday for +9.58 units

Youngstown St @ Cleveland St

This line looks a bit large to me. I understand this YSU team isnt overly talented was was pretty bad early in the year. However they have put it together with 4 wins in a row and have beaten the better teams in the Horizon ( UWGB, UWML, CLEST, @UIC), including 2 straight road wins.

Cleveland St was caught off guard and was beaten by 4 at YSU about a month ago. CLST beats player, Bullock was held to 4-13 shooting, mostly becuase YSU has the bodies inside to bang with him, he did however get the line 12 times and converted on 11 of them.

Cle St may get caught looking ahead to their bracketbuster matchup against Wichita St on Saturday. Is this the game for YSU to come back down to earth? maybe

Indiana St @ SIU
This is am example of vegas giving SIU too much respect for what they have done in the past. This is not your typical SIU team and this is a much much better ISU team.

ISU has won 3 straight with 2 of those being on the road. After one of this season’s most incredible comebacks, Indiana State finally is starting to gain some momentum. The Sycamores made eight straight 3-pointers to help overcome a 12-point deficit with 2:38 left at Illinois State on Feb. 8 and stunned the Redbirds, 75-73, in overtime.

Leading the Indiana State resurgence has been Jay Tunnell. The senior forward began shooting like Sycamore legend Larry Bird.

Tunnell made 8-of-9 3-pointers against Illinois State to finish with a career-high 28 points. He followed that by sinking 10-of-11 shots against Drake, going 4-of-5 outside the arc, for 25 points. Tunnell finally settled down at Missouri State, going 4-of-9 from the field and 1-of-4 on 3-pointers while scoring 13 points.

Marshall has played great at point since returning. In their last matchup Indiana State shot 28.6 percent from the field, including 18.5 percent in the second half when it had only five baskets, in a 58-47 home loss to Southern Illinois on Jan. 21. Jay Tunnell was suffering from the flu in that game and scored seven points in 17 minutes.

Marshall and Tunnel provide the leadership for the young starters on the road. They combined for 53 PTS @ illinois St and 32 at Missouri St. If ISU has the lead down the stretch they get the ball to their 3 best FT shooters and will ice the game, unlike say a team that wears orange and plays in the Big East.

Southern Illinois is coming off two awful games, loses of 22 and 26 to Creighton and Northern Iowa. They have lost 4 at home in conference this year, including 2 straight. Senior Bryan Mullins, the team’s leader, is out indefinitely with a stress fracture. The grind may have gotten to freshman Kevin Dillard, who carried much of the team’s scoring burden this season. He missed 8-of-11 shots against Creighton and 7-of-8 against Northern Iowa. He has failed to score in double figures three straight games.

In their last 5 games they have only broken 60 points once. I see this team without their senior leader at guard falling faster and faster. I dont see them blowing away ISU tonight.

Drake @ Northern Iowa

NI knows they need to keep winning and take these games they should win serious to stay atop the MVC. They put an absolute beating on Drake in Drake last time out and dont see why they shouldnt pound them even more tonight.

Drake has lost 8 of 10 and 4 of 5 on the road. (somehow winning at Creighton a month ago). while NI has won 12 of 14 but lost 2 of their last 3, with a weird loss at Wichita ST. They should be ready to come home tonight and lay it to Drake.

Northern Iowa is the best FG% shooting team and the best oppFG% team in the Valley. 2nd in FT%, 2nd in 3FG%. Rebounding is maybe their worst category but DRake is even worse. I dont see an advantage on the floor for DRake in this game. Maybe a let down game for NI looking foward to BracketBUster against Austin Peay? I doubt it, knowing they need to stay in 1st place.

call it a hunch but i think they may be back. Could win this game but im not going that far. Best big man in the big east and best shooter in the country.

Notre Dame has handled WVU over the years, owning a 24-8 record, including wins in 13 of the last 14 meetings. The Mountaineers have no one to match up with F Luke Harangody but do an excellent job of shutting down the 3-point line, leading the nation in 3-point field percentage.
