I have been hitting lately and I think I have a few winners tonight. Not many of you know me so heres a few things.

-I use no systems, I watch the games and countless hours of looking over box scores, matchups and injuries.

Hornets @ Minnesota

New Orleans may be without Chandler and West in this one. I will make this bet assuming they will not play. They are listed as questionable, however playing without those two guys, New Orleans beat IN and NJ. They have one of the better road records are 10-8 while Minnesota doesnt play well at home (or anywhere) with a 6-13 home record.

I think the big mis match here is at the point guard. Paul should be able to run circles againt defensive-challenged Telfair. Rarely used Melvin Ely should be able to make up for the rebounds lost by Chandler and hopefully if West doesnt play, Paul, Peja, Posey and Butler can score in his absence.

I think the Hornets have enough leadership in Paul, Posey and Peja to go in and beat the young Wolves. The Wolves have trouble winning close games because of their youth (Love,Telfair,MCcants, Gomes,Foye)

As long as NO can rebound the ball, they should prevail. It may be a close game however and NO does have the edge in FT% at 81% to 76%.

Maybe I will get lucky and West will play. But for now its

NO +1.5 (2 Units)

Mavs @ Pistons

There are a few things to love about the Mavs when you bet on them. They rebound the ball and they shoot a great FT%. Ya they just had an awful showing @ MIL. It happens in the NBA.

Detriot I think it starting to kick it in gear after losing those 5 straight. Hamilton is coming off the bench to make room for Stuckey in the starting lineup. Sheed and Prince are both back healthy. Iverson and Prince always play well agsinst Dallas (Iverson 30PPG 9ASS in last 3 VS Dal and Prince was 4-4 and 8-8FT last yr against DAL). DAL may be caught looking ahead to BOS on sunday.

I dont think Kidd will be able to stay with AI and that will open up shoots for Sheed and RIP. This game may stay close for half but I think DET will open it up in the second half. The key may be Terry off the bench, hopefully DET can slow him down and not let him get hot. If Terry is held under 15 DET wins this game, if he gets hot then watch out.

DET -3.5 (2 Units)

My other two games I will have write ups on in a bit

CHI -2 (4 Units)
PHO @ CHA U200.5 (4 Units)

PHO @ CHA Under 200.5

The Bobcats have benefited from the trade of JRICH to get Diaw and Raja Bell. Two good scorers and a great on the ball and off the defender in Bell and Diaw can play some D himself. Both better defenders than JRICH. The bobcats are stil the lowest scoring team in the NBA and without Carrel their bench is a not as deep. They rely on Morrison, old man Howard and Singletary off their bench. Okafor is also a good defender downlow, which should put thoughts in Amares mind about going too hard to the rim.

Larry Brown should have a good scheme against the suns to slow them down a bit and contain Nash's penetration. JRich will be pumped up to play his old team so hopefully hes all gunning away and bricking.

The last 4 totals for the Bobcats are

158 Det
199 POR
170 SA
187 MEM

I think it will be a factor is Charlottes defence which they play well at home. This game will be around 95-88.

I think it will be close if West and Chandler dont play. If they do I NO is a steal at Minn. Even though i know they have been playing well. They have covered in 10-11. I like to bet against those kind of streaks

The bulls are starting to get healthy. Hinrich, and Nocioni are giving them a spark off the bench. Deng is back. The Raptors have lost four straight and seven of their last eight away from the Air Canada Centre.

Joakim Noah has played well in his last two game with 9 pts and 11 reb (8 off) against Atlanta and 18 rebounds against NY.

The bulls need to start making a push for the playoffs. They just beat Toronto in Canada a week ago and I think they will continue to play well and give Derrick Rose a little more help. The Bulls have won 17 of the last 21 meetings with the Raptors. Bargnani had 31 in the game against the bulls in Canada and I do not expect him to be left wide open again.

I think the Bulls run away with this one at home.
