Just opened one in Brandon on 301, near I4 and I75. Never been, any opinions.
Looks like a Hooter's rip off, what's their story?

I've been there fairly regularly since it opened and the best I can do is "okay". The worst thing about that particular place is the parking situation. There are not enough spots in the Wing House lot. The Red Roof Inn used to be a good parking out, but they've hired private security and have a tow truck idling in the parking lot waiting for you to park there. If that doesn't improve soon, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. I'm there most Fridays from about 5-7. Even lunch puts a strain on parking.

I believe the best wings in town are at Barnacles, which is behind the Brandon Mall (essentially at the corner of Providence and Lumsden). You can't beat the number of TVs and Tommy the bartender on the side bar is about the best I've ever run across. You can't beat a college football Saturday there.

The Wing House is convenient for the guys who live in New Tampa as well as us in the Brandon area because all of us can hop on I-4. But the parking situation may cause us to return to Barnacles for our Friday after work spot and the guys who live in New Tampa or north can either come with us or head up to their own local spots. I've spoken to the Red Roof Inn manager and she tells me that she's trying to work a deal with the folks at the Wing House to ease the parking. The 'House is going to lose a lot of business if they don't solve that problem soon.

The Kers Wing House chain is owned by former Florida Gator football player Crawford Ker. He was a starting offensive lineman on UFs 84 team. Still considered UFs greatest line EVER. The 84 team won the SEC but was later put on probation by the NCAA. Charley Pell was the coach. Wings are MUCH better than that FVCK that HOOTERS calls wings. Nothing but batter and skin on a bone. LT

The food is just as bad as Hooters..When I used to live in Tampa, I went to the one of the establishments in Sarasoto for wings.

The only thing worth buying are the blackened buffalo wings.

I know they got sued by Hooters. Almost exact replica of Hooters. Love the boob cleavage and short shorts. Not much else. They dont even have sattelite for sports.

Thanks for the info BLACk, Ill head up there on a future friday, a convenient location for Tampa posters. Plan on heading to Barnicles for many a non-buc home game Sundays also BTW. Coming from Riverview.

On a good day you could make it from Winter Haven in a bit over a half hour, Hope to cash that drink in someday.

I'm not a Bucs fan, but I'm hoping to take advantage of the prevailing sentiment in Tampa that they suck to be able to score tickets relatively cheaply.
